Q: What if I want a DVD title that DVD Station does not have?
A: Just email us at customercare@dvdstation.com with the titles that you want, and the store location that you are using. We will do what we can to add the most popular requests to your store's inventory.
Q: Where do I pick up the DVD after I check-out? Does it come out of the machine?
A: No, the DVD does not come out of the DVD Station. Depending on the store you're renting from, the Station will either print out a reservation slip for you (in which case, you'll need to take it to the counter to pick up your DVD selection) or your reservation slip as well as your DVD(s) will be waiting for you at the counter.
Q: Where do I return the DVD?
A: The DVD must be returned to the same store location that you rented it from and handed to a store associate for check-in.
Q: What happens if I don't return my DVD right away?
A: You will only be charged our low daily rate. If you keep a DVD for a while, we'll never charge you more than the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP), plus a restocking fee if we need to replace the item. If you keep the disk long enough to be charged the MSRP, you can decide whether to keep the movie or to promptly return it to us in its original DVD Station packaging... and we'll give you back 10% of the MSRP back in rental credits. This is DVD Station's "Freedom of Choice" program -- keep the DVD or return it for a bonus!
Q: Can I apply my rental charges toward the purchase of the DVD I rented?
A: With DVD Station's "Freedom of Choice" Program, you can apply your rental charges automatically to the purchase of the rented DVD. Once your rental charge exceeds the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP), DVD Station automatically lets you keep the DVD and posts the completed charge to your credit card account.
Q: How many DVDs can I rent at a time?
A: You can rent as many as seven DVDs at a time and return them whenever you like.
Q: Are there any hidden charges?
A: No. We believe you should enjoy every aspect of your home entertainment experience without worrying about return deadlines and excessive DVD rental charges.
Q: What if I see a title that I don't want to rent now, but would like to rent sometime in the future?
A: If there is a DVD that you'd like to see at a later date, but not rent immediately, you can bookmark it by adding it to your "Wish List". The movie will not be reserved for you, but the system will remind you about the film each time that you log in by showing the DVD on your virtual shelf. Once you rent that DVD title, it will disappear from your shelf.
Q: What if I want someone else to be able to use my account?
A: That's easy. We can create one or more membership cards linked to the credit card that you used to set up your DVD Station membership. For security reasons, any appointed user will need to know the security PIN that you chose in order to use your card. So, even if you lose a membership card, your account is secured by your PIN number.
Q: I've seen practically seen every film ever made. Can you help me find something I haven't seen?
A: Your situation is not hopeless. Every Tuesday, we get new releases. We can also recommend older titles based upon your interests. If, for instance, you know that you like Ocean's Eleven, we can recommend other titles that are uniquely linked by actor, director, theme, or style.
Q: I get overwhelmed with the sight of all the boxes in a video store. Even though I know what kind of films I want, I can't narrow my choices down. How will your Station help me?
A: Shopping for entertainment shouldn't be a hardship. From recommending films by a particular director to showing you all the movies featuring your favorite actor, DVD Station makes it easier for you to choose something you'd like to see. And you can always browse by traditional categories like comedies, dramas, action, and family flicks. Finally, the Station will also recommend titles based upon your previous selections.
Q: How can I find all the movies that my favorite director has made, or that a particular actor is in?
A: You can use our search feature to search by actor, director or film. Select Search and then either scroll through a list of titles or type in the name of a movie, director, or actor. The Station will display the actor's filmography page, which contains a personal bio as well as a list of all the stocked films in which they appear.
